Spacejump, any chance of a tool that makes us our own multi-forwarder .dol?

Could help me out!

i am still code dumping on Gxgeo. i got the latest ver. from wiibrew and have the following files in the roms folder NeoCD.bin, Neo-Geo.rom, Ng-Lo.rom, Ng-Sfix.rom, Ng-Sm1.rom, uni-bios.rom. am i missing anything from that list that would cause a Code Dump?
EDIT: the latest gx-nes emu is code dumping also. (not complaining, you're doing good stuff here, i am just trying to debug the situation on my end.)

I just downloaded every app directly from the homebrewbrowser and it works great... So I would suggest, that you erase the files from your sd and download them from the homebrewbrowser again. That`s what I did and it work great

ok i am backing up the contents of my card now and using the HBB channel to DL the files to a clean SD card. i will still need to edit the .conf files?

The .conf file is for your favorite emulator, which is loaded, if no button is pressed on loading the channel. You don't have to use this, but if you do the path in it has to point to the emu.

only genplus and geexbox seem to work for me, and i have the latest builds of all apps....?
why do i get codedump at all? isn't the forwader just a shortcut/link to a dol? why isn't it that simple???

thats odd. i have the nes, genesis, snes, vba, neogeo all working fine. the latest versions arent yet released on the homebrew browser. so i had to get them from the web myself and load them to my card. you should do the same and ill bet it works.

i used the single channels, not the multi forwarders...

These are really awesome!

The only suggestion would be to add support for Wii64 and maybe WiiSX to the emulator channel. I don't know how many buttons are left though.

Hm, the buttons + and - are still free on the remote. They could be added to those. But I'm not sure it makes sense because both emus are imo still in early stages that I wouldn't want them in the Forwarder. But if demand is there, I can add them.

Regarding the code dumps: There's more code involved in forwarding than you think, so Code Dumps can happen just like in any other homebrew. However I tested all apps and none of them give me Code Dumps. I downloaded them all through HBB besides the WADManager.

Media Forwarder Channel v2:
QUOTE said:
This is a little app/channel that combines the five Wii Media Players GeeXboX, MPlayerWii,
MPlayer Twiizer Version, MPlayerWii Mod (rodries) and Dragon Media Player into one app / channel.
The Media Forwarder loads the media apps from the front sd according to the held button on
launching the channel. The paths on sd are as followed:

- GeeXboX: /apps/geexbox/boot.elf
- MPlayerWii: /apps/MPlayerWii/boot.dol
- MPlayer Twiizer: /apps/MPlayer/boot.dol
- MPlayerWii: /apps/MPlayerWii_rodries/boot.dol
- Dragon Media Player: /apps/dmp/boot.dol

They are the same paths that the Homebrew Browser uses. That means if you downloaded the apps with
the Homebrew Browser, all paths are set for the Media Forwarder.

Choosing the loaded media player:
----------------------------------------
When launching the Channel, simply hold down one direction or the A button on the Wiimote's
d-pad for the desired media player to load (directions are shown on screen).

Besides that you can specify a favorite media player in the media_forwarder.conf config file. This
favorite media player will be loaded automatically, if no button is pushed on the Wiimote.

changes:
----------
- v1: initial release
- v2: added DMP on button A, removed menu when holding A on channel launch

usage:
--------
1. Install Media Forwarder Channel v2.wad using WadManager, or inject media_forwarder_v02.dol
into your own wad
2. Copy the file "media_forwarder.conf" into the root of the sd
3. Edit "media_forwarder.conf" and change the path to your favorite media player
3. Put your SD card back into the Wii and launch the installed channel from 1

Tools Forwarder Channel:
QUOTE
This is a little app/channel that combines four apps for Wii into one app/channel.
The Tools Forwarder loads the apps from the front sd according to the held button on
launching the channel. The apps and their paths on sd are as followed:

- Homebrew Browser: /apps/homebrew_browser/boot.dol
- WADManager: /apps/WADManager/boot.dol
- Gecko OS: /apps/geckoos_cf/boot.dol
- FTPii: /apps/FTPII/boot.dol

They are the same paths that the Homebrew Browser uses (except for WADManager of course). That
means if you downloaded the apps with the Homebrew Browser, all paths are set for the Tools
Forwarder.

Choosing the loaded app:
-----------------------------
When launching the Channel, simply hold down the button on the Wiimote's
d-pad for the desired app to load (buttons are shown on screen).

Besides that you can specify a favorite tool in the tools_forwarder.conf config file. This

The media forwarder link is broken.

Very nice idea! Great channels!

But did you notice? The Wiimote image that you are using are of a prototype Wiimote. The finalized one never had that design on the power button.

lol u do realize that Spacejump posted those on "Dec 24 2008, 10:56 PM", so the link will most likely be dead and outdated

Wow, it's that long ago since I coded these forwarders. And to see that my invention of the "forwarder" is now common is great
