Oh, I was just going to use .png files since that is my preferred filetype, but if there just happens to be an image in a different filetype, I just use that instead (noticeable in my ms2 previewer, since the dsi border are .jpg images).
I'm not exactly sure how long my mascot is going to take...since it isn't going to be just a static image on the GUI...
I'm actually aiming to make a lenient desktop mascot that people can skin (but I need at least one default mascot of course xD) with whatever size image, however many animations, however many voice effects, and however many mascots they want...the only problem is trying to remember what has to be general and what doesn't xD. (as a little note, its not so much that I care enough about the ysmenu generator to give it a mascot, but I just really wanted a desktop mascot to be just the way I'd imagine one to be =D).

The name for the mascot? I was just thinking something generic (which was why there is a poll xD). If it had came out to be either the stickman or stickwoman, I probably would have just left their names at that and be done with it. Apparently at the rate the poll is going now, I'll probably have to come up with a mascot on my own TT-TT...maybe I'll do something similar to what Pixel did for Balrog: choose a daily item, give it hands and feet, draw a face in and put something extra, and name it xD.
As for the name of my generator, its just going to be "Mini YSMenu Generator" (like the title says) because that is all it really is. It might help people set up other things, but the main thing is setting up ysmenu so the nubs don't have to complain about not being able to set up ysmenu.

The fact that you are asking for a tutorial means that my program is not good enough yet. You are going to have to explain exactly what you did and where the problem is occurring. Then I can steer you in the right direction (and fix my program).

I got error dldi-head not found. what could be the problem

I have R4: _R4_III Im trying to get dscovered to run as the main system?. I know I need ysmenu, but cannot get it to work.

here are the tep that i did.

load ysmenu.zip
load ttmune.7z
dscovered add on

c: prompt came up.

but get that error.

I have a clone R4 with the R4 menu. n ot the DSTT.

Well, if you press a key and a file browser window pops up, then it should be fine...? At the very least, it will work for an R4...(just disregard the dldi-head error).

Well do not understand what you mean about a browser. I'm able to look for the ysmenu and dstt file. I press the dscovered add on another browser open which was the command prompt unzipping stuff. After it did its routine., at the bottom gave me the error. I saw the folder that said root. I copy the files to the root of the sd card. insert it in r4, turn on the ds, to screen just say loading.

Don't replace the _DS_MENU.dat from your original firmware or w/e...just use the DSCovered.nds

Autoits symbol pisses me off can you change it to your mascot or something later when you get it.

Just disregard that error. Use only the folder and the dscovered.nds and try using the _DS_MENU.dat that worked for your card to load up the dscovered.nds.

lol I probably will change it sooner or later, but that is when I get the motivation to actually go back to fixing this xD (I just leave it here for some odd reason...at some point in time I was supposedly going to add those other buttons and I didn't lol). I actually wouldn't trust that it works for my life (except the R4 options put on a legitimate R4 or 1:1 clone because I could actually test that, and so I know that one works right).
