I'm totally psyched for this, and that's even considering my imminent skepticism directed at the simple fact that it's a RPGii.
That's right, my general disappointment over Wii RPG's has been overshadowed. Damn, Sakaguchi. Damn.

On a semi-unrelated note, how is it "ironic" that the game looks like a final fantasy game? It's to be expected that this game's visual style would mirror's those of SE's past games.

Cover mechanics, vaulting over cover mechanics, crowd interaction, etc. I see a lot of western influence here and lots of new things added to the JRPG genre.

Amazing. Definitely feels fresh. I love Mistwalker. After this we need Lost Odyssey 2. Mmm.

And Nintendo better bring this beauty to the states. I'd be pissed if they didn't. They skipped on bringing ASH out in the states. Lame.

If you are referring to my comment about irony, i was not referring to the gameplay itself or the general look and style, but actually the game's title, the name of the game. It actually SOUNDS like Final Fantasy, calling the The Last Story. I just found that funny, but i should have worded it better. I'll find it equally funny and fitting if the game does well enough to have them make a sequel calling it Last Story 2.

But yeah, I would expect a lot of Final Fantasy themes to be present since it's designed by the creator of the series and all. That wasn't what i was referring to though.

...maybe. we were "supposed" to see it at e3 this year, where it was absent...they may have changed their minds on localization

Definitely not guaranteed. Anyway, I think I'd prefer this over Xenoblade. But both would be even better.
