That's because the WiiU NEEDS it to be an emulator. A 3DS however is just a regular DS with some extra parts, so it will probably work in a similar way to AGB firm, which would just be running it on native hardware (Yes, the 3DS DOES have a physical ARM7 processor) with some hooks applied so the Home button still functions. I'd much rather have it running on native hardware than an emulator.

The question is, this is installed at console's NAND or in the SD. If it's installed in the SD, then this will be a breakthrough.
If I'm not remembering wrong, there's already a way to inject DS games into DSiWare.

Precisely. The problem is the 3DS doesn't have enough space to install very many DS games. If this uses the SD card it would be awesome.

I guess DS games will just be a rewards things only and not something for purchase. I also can't imagine a massive sized DS game being available anytime soon.

Nothing. DS VC IS DSiWare. It's not really Virtual Console.

The 3DS is too weak for that, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't even have enough buttons.

If DS VC were to become a thing, we'd no longer have a need for flashcarts - not to mention it's more intuitive to just launch games from the Home Menu.
