i want to play Punch-out wii, the wbsf file is like 3.80 gb, and my largest usb is only 3.69gb !

can i compress the game a little or something ?

I also have a 16 gb, same model (HP v165w) but it doesn't load the games correctly as the "4"gb one does, I even tried, cant get pass the round 1 with glass joe, the game freezes (with neogamma).

Go to thee shop, buy a decently sized USB stick, SD card or USB HDD.
In my experience, the old Wii doesn't like too much USB sticks (many models work with problems)

PS: Oh, by the way, I don't think you can compress it further.

Is it a wbfs file?

If so, then no. Time for a bigger USB stick or SD card. Remember, you can play Wii or Gamecube backups from a SD card too.

I live in venezuela, so i'm pretty much fucked up.

OH, and I actually downloaded it as an .iso file, then converted it to wbsf, still have the iso.

You can try using different launchers and the 16GB usb stick (cfg-usbloader worked better for me e.g.)
Also different cIOS have different USB compatibility, so try running the game on a different cIOS.
Also... What can I tell you... I hope the situation gets better in Venezuela, your country is so rich in resources it makes no sense to have shortages.

You said you have another USB device. Try doing a clean format on it as fat32 and using Wii Backup Manager to move the ISO to it.

Do you have an Android device or jailbroken iOS device? It might be possible to use these as a fat32 USB device. I couldn't give you instructions but it's possible.

I'm sorry about the situation in Venezuela. Much of Latin America has it bad for sales, shipping, and deals on hardware, but Venezuela really does in particular in the past year. I bought a NES reproduction cart from someone in Venezuela called Gamestropolis and he had trouble sending stuff because of political unrest. How has the situation been in the last several months with riots or "guarimbas"? I'm completely out of the loop and Western news doesn't cover it at all.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
