In the soft mod topic the psp 100 is listed s completely hackable and the 3000 as semihackable. What are the differences? The topic doesn't really mention what the 3000 can't do or any difference with the 1000 as they're both modded the same way. Can anyone explain this to me? This determines whether I get a semi-new psp 3000 for 80 bucks or a psp 1000 for 100 bucks. Thanks for any responses.

I would really get a PSP 1000. Most PSP 3000 aren't even hackable anymore.

Plus, the PSP 1000 has an iR sensor.

Just buy a PSP 2000, get the size and fully hackable.

PSP300 isn't worth it.

PSP1000, doesn't have the ram, and what not... nicely built handheld, but the PSP2000 is worth it.

Just remeber it must be a Hackable 2000, not any 2000 is hackable.

But what are the differences? What can I do on a 1000 that I can't do on a 3000? Can I not play PSP ISOs or PS1 games on a 3000? Is the the 1000 easier to mod? What's the difference. I can determine whether it's worth it after I get some info.

1000 = Always modifiable.
2000 = Almost always modifiable.
3000 = Rarely modifiable.

1000 is easier to mod, if you ask me.

Pandora batteries can also always be used on 1000/2000(some). I believe pandora doesn't work on 3000?

3000 has to be on 5.03 to be soft modded and it goes away when the psp is reset or turned off. It can sometimes be hard to turn back on. 3000 has no brick protection.
1000 can always be hacked with a pandora. It has a worse screen and is slightly larger but always hackable and always able to turn any bettery into a pandora. Also the ir sensor lets it be used with a remote with ir shell I think.

This has been answered like a THOUSAND times, and was a sticky on the forum. Jesus Christ. I regret turning my psp1000 over for a psp2000. the new ones have a cheap feel to it. The PSP1000 is your better bet, than a PSP3000. But I would go with a darth vader/star wars/god of war bundle for a PSP2000. Mostly those are hackable, guaranteed. You'll want the RAM etc. and the PSP3000 won't give it to you.
