Oh! I apologize, I didn't see the 32GB on the box and didn't know Japan had white 32GB models. I assumed black was 32GB and white was 8GB everywhere. In that case, I'm really not sure. Sorry again.

i will go look for bundles on shops and whatnot tomorrow here in japan, i might find an old bundle.
weird thing is that the white basic 8gb version has apparently been discontinued in japan since june and since they dont really fly off shelves im feeling somewhat lucky.

If I understand, the 5.5 FW mod exists but it being kept behind lock and key. One of the conditions seems to be the demand for it. I do not, however, see any way to volunteer to help bolster the team. I don't have a lot of experience, but I've been save modding and hex editing for long enough that I would certainly be interested in helping in any way I can. I have experience with all Sony platforms sans VITA, DS and 3DS, a touch of Wii, and retro systems (which are probably not the least impressive this day in age, you whipper snappers).

Let me know if there is anything that need doing and I'll see what I can do.

yes ordered it on amazon jp, it says "disctoninued model" since it has been so since the start of june...big chance.
gonna update once i get it, might come tomorrow or monday, and i will also try to update it with xenoblade x jap version to see what firmware it has on disc.

I'm using the HomeBru page is there anyway i can change it? thank you
Open HomebrU-Editable.png in a graphics editing program (I use Adobe Fireworks) and all layers will be available to move, edit, or delete. Unfortunately, this is the only way to do it. My preferred method was to have the index.html call individual images so it would be easy for users to change, but that made it crash very frequently.

I'm not part of the hacking team, but I'm pretty sure what they mean is that they'd like to see a lot of homebrew development... apps, games, tools, etc. in progress. As of now, Loadiine got released and everyone flocked to that as if that was the only thing important in the hacking scene. Nobody is working on anything else AFAIK.

The EUR version has 5.5.0, and it's very unusual for other regions to differ. I would expect 5.5.0, but if not it would be 5.4.0 anyways. Also, don't forget there's already an update out for it, so don't forget to install that with NUS Grabber (command line).

ah the xenoblade cd that i will be using is the japanese version which came out in april, so no worries there.
howerver i do plan on using loadine to play the usa version. gotta read up on the NUS grabber thing and also if i need to rename so US files to JP.

Couple questions:

I have a 5.3.2 Wii U coming, it will be my second Wii U.

I have 1 Wii U that is on the latest which I plan on using for physical games and whatnot
The hackable Wii U I am doing for fun but would like to know how I would go about blocking updates but allowing it online so it can do multiplayer with a 5.5.0 spoof. From my understanding the records on the OP are fir blocking complete access online including eShop and games.

I would also like the unhacked Wii U to be able to access internet like normal.

I can't see any method to do this easily.

Use TubeHax DNS and spoof to 5.5.0 with WUP Installer. You will then be able to play games online. Install any game updates with WUP Installer as well (download the updates on PC with NUS Grabber). You can access the eShop with NNU-Patcher.

Thank you very much. I just needed to confirm that. I thought TubeHax would block all access period. :)

Good try, nintendo.

Hello,
Someone can tell me why loadiine dont work on older FW than 5.3.2.

Loadiine and Dumpiine run off a Modified Kernel Exploit, in which the only difference is where in memory things are stored. All other aspects of the two Kernel Exploits work the same.
(You need a modified kernel exploit that sets the virtual memory address 0xA0000000 to physical memory address 0x10000000. The official kernel exploit uses 0x31000000.

An appropriate kernel, is it the only limitation to get loadiine on older FW ?

I dont know if there is a list of all the confirmed WiiU compatible MicroSD/SD cards, but I just got a 64gb Sandisk Ultra (The white and grey version), I formatted it with guiformat.exe with Fat32 with 32kb data cluster and it worked just fine.

Where do i download Loadiine? And do you got some guide of some in the kind of that?
Thanks btw
No, i just really suck at this

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

What website is good for downloading games for the WiiU to use on Loadiine?
