Sometimes I think that The Elder Scrolls took place on an Earth where Evolution happened differently, with the main events since Arena occurring during the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th centuries CE. Skyrim is Scandinavia, Morrowind is Greece, the Aegean islands, Illyria AKA parts of the Balkan nations, and the Westernmost parts of Turkey, Hammerfell is Gaul and the British Isles, the Netherlands, and parts of Germany, and Elsywr is Southern Italy, Sicily and parts of North Africa, Cyrodil is Southern Germany, Swiss Alps, and Northern Italy while Black Marsh mostly encompasses Central Asia. Summerset Isle is the Canary Islands.
