I once had an issue where the ETA always read "999h"
My sister's netbook had a different problem. It would run out of battery randomly within 8-30 mins, so we always left it with the power adaptor connected, ended up overcharging and frying the battery, but instead of it going out, it would charge to 100%, then stay there until it was about to run out and it would go from 100% straight to like 3%. On top of that, it somehow could last 15 hours on full load... I don't know what sorcery that was, but I always encounter weird things on my portable computers (had a laptop with a broken sensor that literally counted backwards with 100% being empty and 1% being fully charged even:rofl2:).

My battery is super dead, always showing 0% on sector, dead a mere second if I unplug it.
