I had that hack one time, but it didn't work, and you needed to start the mp3 of the backtrack at the exact time the level starts, which is insanely hard. I'd assume that in the video, they took video of the entire level and then put the music in in a video editor.

If anyone's wondering, the song is called "Kumikyoku" and it's one of many Nico Nico Douga medleys.

Actually, last time I found the hack and patched it to the ROM, it didn't work, but I may have patched to the wrong version.


Here it is, btw. Googled only for half a second to find that.

That's the .ips file. You'll need to patch it onto the (J) ROM of Super Mario World. I do not know if the game requires you to have the song playing in an external program.

EDIT: Just tried it. It didn't work. Patching the game with the .ips patch makes the checksum go bad and it won't play.

There's blocks you can add that make mario jump or push him really fast when he touches them, they just weren't used in the original game.
