I've been to a couple review sites on internet browsers lately and almost everyone had their own opinion on them.
Searching here, there hasn't been a topic yet. Unless I suck at searching.

To those that don't know:
Different web browsers are.. well.. different than others.
Some are lite and are much faster than others.
Others are more based on customization and what the user wants.

Which browser is the best do you guys think?

I've yet to try Chrome, but I've heard it's pretty good.

Depends on what you want.

Firefox: Customization
Chrome: Speed and Simplicity (my personal fave)
Flock: Socialization
Opera: A small mix of both speed and customization, though each on a lower scale to FF and Chrome
Internet Explorer: For it's "Original Trademarkness" and popularity
Safari: If you own a Mac, or something like Opera (speed and customization)
Camino: Firefox, except for Mac. It works better than Firefox Mac.
TheWorld: Speed (though not as much as Chrome) and a low scale of customization

There's also Avant (like IE), Slim (also like IE) and Maxthon (though I may not try Maxthon because Chinese people made it and I don't trust the Chinese government).

How is this even up for debate? It's either Firefox, or Chrome. Chrome is the fastest, Firefox is the most expandable.
Some people have their own preferences ie IE. Why they choose it is up to them.
Personally, Firefox just runs incredibly slow for me. I've got Opera right now and it's much better than both Firefox and IE.

Gonna give Chrome a go tomorrow.

Well I've tried IE8, Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Opera
Each browser has their good points and bad points (except IE8 that is
laugh.gif
) such as Safari's 'Top sites' page, Firfox 'Add-ons', Opera 'All-in-one'
But of them all - I'm really stuck choosing between Firefox and Opera - I'm currently using Firefox on my PC

The reasons
Opera:
1) It comes 'complete' without the need to add 'add-ons' for simple things like sidebar & mouse guestures etc, Also has built in Email/Chat, 'Notes' etc
2) It's 'safer' against ActiveX attacks - why!!! 'cos it doesn't use them
3) You can get a 'officially supported' USB portable version (Unlike Firefox - which is developed by 3rd parties)
4) It takes up less disk space than Firefox.
--- Example: 'OperaUSB' version = 12.8Mb
--- 'Firefox Portable' (with add-ons to give same functions as Opera) = 63.9Mb

Firefox
1) More 'Compatible' with websites unlike Opera
2) Can add features that you may need, such as 'WOT' (Web Of Trust)
3) Better support than Opera

Now IF they developed Firefox with 'standard features' from Opera without the need to install Addons (& made it more 'compact') then it'll be Firefox every time with me
(I've had a few crashes with it - but I think that's down to 'add-on' conflicts)

LOL to be honest, I never really had any problems with IE 8. It was a bit slow is all.
Then recently, for no reason, it just decides to take like.. 3 secs longer to load every page. >.>

"Time for a new browser!"

Firefox because of customization. I love Ad-Block Plus, Greasemonkey, DownThemAll!, and themes and the only other contender for best browser is Google Chrome. GOOGLE Chrome. Google makes most of its money from ads, so there will never be an ad blocker for it. If Google Chrome had minimal sized themes (I mainly use a netbook) and adblocker I'd use it, but it doesn't, so Firefox for now.

Not, the're ad blockers for chrome development builds (extensions), they're working fine.

Firefox is just so flexibel.

I once had problems with Firefox, though. It always kept crashing and windows said it wouldn't work properly.
But I think this was Microsofts fault, since it vanished after an windows update.

Opera is also good, but I don't think it will ever reach Firefox.
