Hacking The Beatles: Rock Band - Japanese Wii

I was trying to get The Beatles: Rock Band a USA region game working on a Japanese Wii.

I was not able to get it working. It would boot to the wiimote strap warning screen. After pressing A the screen went black and the console became unresponsive.

I caved in and changed the console region and System Menu to USA.

This worked booting game from disc or from USB with Hermes cios223 with 37 and 38 merged v4.

Does anyone know how to get this working without changing the region of the console?

I have a suspicion it is language related.

    If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction
