This better be 3DS-Ware, that way it will at least be at a fair price.
Are you kidding? I payed full price for Tetris DS when it came out, and I consider it the most worthwhile purchase I made for my DS. I have certainly played it more than any of my other DS games. Just because Tetris is a simple game doesn't make it worthless.

Don't get me wrong here, but I hate Tetris. I never understood the reason behind it's popularity......

The problem with that is how you can enjoy the exact same game by just popping your Tetris DS cartridge into your 3DS. I know that this 3DS version has 20+ modes, but 2-3 weeks in, you're probably only gonna be interested in the marathon/challenge/original mode.

Sad, but true. :C

It goes way back into those old days when consoles were in their 8bit stages. People (like myself) used to play Tetris on a handheld which was widely known as Brick Game back then (atleast that's what my family members called it). From those days till now, the spark of Tetris still remains, even I still play it. You could say it's the Angry Birds of the 80s and 90s. It's popular because it was the best time killer back then, people like me, who used to spend time playing Tetris, still love it. Thus, it's popular. I'm not sure if kids these days love Tetris.

My dad still owns a Brick Game (exactly the one shown above), he's been playing it for over 20 years now, damn that record will be hard to surpass. He plays max level Tetris like a Boss xD

P.S. - If anyone knows about Brick Game's wiki article, could you link me to it? Can't seem to find it on Wiki. Maybe it isn't called Brick Game everywhere

People like stacking the blocks, they like the thrill of the falling speed increasing, & they like the satisfaction of when they make a perfect line it goes away.

I personally enjoy trying to beat my families & my own high score, it's also fun when you get up to an extremely fast level where you only have a second or two to react and place it in the perfect position or it's game over.

You just jolted me back many years. I had one of those. Found it at a thrift store. Played the hell out of it.

Tetris GameBoy.. my god.. how many hours i sink in this one

Not hyped one sec about 3D revision, Classic Tetris is 2D period.

Dammit, that explains why they haven't released GB Teris on VC... and now they never will

imo almost every single attempt to 'update' Tetris have failed on their arse.

The only versions I have liked (ever) are the Gameboy version and Tetrisphere (which might actually work well on the 3DS).

What I got from this is, even though there are like 20 modes of content, it not worth the price tag because I plan or might not play more than 2 or 3
modes of it.

Kinda like saying a game it not worth it price tag because I plan or might not play the whole game.

A worth $40 games is worth $40 whether you play the whole thing or not.

Is that what you are saying,? Is what you saying fair?

Sadly I don't really find Tetris worth the $40 price tag.

Unless....

It has like 20 modes....
