This is getting more exciting. Just can't wait.
Go! The Team.
BTW, when would we expect to see the official release?
I really want to be a beta tester, but I am not on an irc...
And, a question: do we do any prevention noob people from do things in real nand instead of emulated?

- Soon
- There's no way that you can install this on real NAND, since as of today, it only works on emulated NAND.

why put this on "real nand" that already reads wbfs files.??

Hmm...I don't want to sound arrogant, but if you want to be a tester, you should know better than this. Akari is right: this cDI thing is a modification of UNEEK, and UNEEK by very definition uses the emulated nand for EVERYTHING. It's one of the major advantages of sneek: it's close to 100% brick proof, because at the worst case scenario, you brick your emu-nand.

It's not up to me to reveal a date (that's up to overjoy or obcd), but I can also confirm Akari's "soon". Right now, it's best to install/configure uneek+DI if you're not already using it. That way, upon release, it's only a matter of changing 3 files (SD:\sneek\kernel.bin, USB:\sneek\kernel.bin and USB:\sneek\di.bin). :)

hey guys, anyone having trouble accessing SD card on UNEEK setup. It's really weird, I think SD card works in last r39 beta.

Maybe you have the sneek kernel.bin on your sd sneek folder. In that case (with the nand folders on sd as well), homebrew won't be able to acces the sd card as sneek is already using it as it's emulated nand.

uhmm i'm using the USB module. Tried rebuilding it but still the same. Tested it on real NAND and HBC, the SD card access it just fine. Reverting back to r39 fixes the SD card problem.

edit: it seems that my NAND is the problem.

tested some games again
Centipede [USA] = Works
Ikenei no Yoru [JAP] = Works with KOR NAND, Requires Save file fix for USA and wont work on EUR and JPN NAND, it throws you an error, saying that Wii's System Memory is Corrupted.
Just Dance Kids 2 [USA] = Works
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit [EUR] = Works
Pac Man Party [USA] = Works
Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes [USA] = Works
Tenchu: Shadow Assasins [USA] = Works

I don't know exactly what you're saying, but if you say you try to launch apps from your sd-card in UNEEK FS this should work. It works for me in the latest RC. Also nothing
that could break such support has been changed since the beta's of v3

What did you test on real nand?
What is r39?

oops, my bad. It's v4beta23, it works on my USA nand with full of channels and a SD card with no problem. In recent RC3, SD card refuse to work, I tried making a new NAND and the problem is fixed, though I tried restoring again my 25 wiiware games (installed them using showmiiwads) and SD card refuse to work again.

srry guys been without a computer and internet for a bit how is the process going? last i seen this thread only had 2 or 3 pages

Grinn...check the last two pages. Bottom line: most, if not all games that work in discex now work in wbfs format. The public release is "soon". There is also an additional option to use different nands and switch between them on-the-fly (the menu now has a 'switch nands' option).

There are more things planned, but that's something for after the public release. :)

Well, this is a relief. No Wii would be blocked using this "things".
I am just tired using different HD. It fills up my nand flash space for using new game and moving to SD card. Using an emulated nand would be much happier and easier!!
I have already set up eneeK+di and worked for games like latest Kirby. Liked using wbfs format game instead with one extra step converting to fst.
I'll wait for the release since it's just 3 file replace.
Thanks the team!!

@testers;

The latest RC4 is out and I can confirm that it fixes Metroid Prime 3 (NTSC - game partition only). I have finished testing all my games now,and with my current sampling of games (217 games) I can estimate that compatibility is 98.6%. I will continue re-testing games that were only tested with v3 betas to make sure that there aren't other games like Metroid Prime 3. Here is the final compatibility list:

I've already got it working in ModMii v4.7.6 beta, but I still need to do a few things like disable the option to install switch2uneek when using "ONEEK", I'm still waiting for OverjoY (or anyone else) to confirm switch2uneek doesn't play nice with ONEEK before adding that restriction
