Did y'all get to ride it or?
They made round trips with a couple of historic steam and diesel trains and people could get on for a ride :) But it was slow, 40min for 10km

This specific trip was one way with steam engine and back with a diesel one. At the time of the photo the steam engine was detached and a diesel engine getting attached at the other side of the train.

At the main location was a exposition with more historic trains and buses. There where bus round trips too, but I didn't had enough time for them.

I went to NOLA last summer and rode the last steam powered party multi-decker boat and you could go see the engine room and all!

The only time I was on a steam-powered boat was in 2022, during a steam event. It was a small boat and I was allowed to look in the engine room. It was very hot, but you could saw the boiler and the moving pistons :) The boiler was converted to run on oil, so no coal shoveling.

Boiler ran on diesel, but there was booze, jazz band, the whole works!
