again, great podcast temps.

The addition of Mthrnite awesome segment is great. Also the Robot voice made my question sound super LOL.
(great work Mthrnite, we better be hearing you next ep)

Also i'm really loving the whole bunch of different accents now.
Also jimmy j's little yawn remix should be included into next ep. (just a suggestion)

Oh and bring back Tshu's song. (sorry Mr_COW, i personally hated the intro and outro, but i like that you were promoting underground artists)

QUOTE([M said:
artin @ Oct 20 2007, 02:33 AM)]Just finished the Uncut Version while working on my overnight design projects. I must say, this is the best episode so far, and really has me looking forward to the next one (shame we have to wait two weeks, though

).

VVoltz, you are Antonio Banderas. Screw Little, make sweet love to me with your sexy voice of sex.

Mthrnite's segment was the highlight, imo. I literally had to put down my drawing tools and take a seat, I was afraid I'd fuck up my lines from chuckling too hard. Wonderful stuff, I had a smile on my face the whole time, guy's a natural.

OK guys, as I said of the Tempcast. Congratulations to everyone involved.
You are doing one heck of a job, keep up the good work.
I'll keep enjoying your Podcasts every other week.

Thanks to all for the comments, I was so nervous.
I was really dying to participate on the Tempcast, now I can die happy =)

Pretty damned entertaining, nice one guys

I don't mind the length. Tiny point though, you could cut down talking in detail about every single release even when there's nothing to say about them; you ditched homebrew for a pony game!

might have been mentioned but the gba cart storage is more expensive because of it's nature. It acts as ram wheras a DS has ram of it's own and uses slower carts to load data from.

oh and congrats on another good podcast!

Hey, guys you should put some background music in... it makes your podcast way more enjoyable when I listen to it with some hiphop instrumentals on the background, offcourse you should have to put some dance music in there to, to not make it one sided... but it might be worth the try!

Mmm no. Will kinda make it sound like the other podcasts out there. I prefer the silent background stuff, gives it a honest sound if you know what I mean.

Great show guys, getting better each episode. I have a few comments, but don't think I'm show bashing for the hell of it, it's just stuff that popped into my head while I was listening and reading some of the posts in this thread. Some of it might even be good (I doubt it though).

1. You guys don't need a lot of background music, don't put loads in.
2. Try to use some sort of noise reduction techniques in the final edit to remove the hiss.
3. Cut some of the long silences when you guys are not saying anything.
4. Throw a bunch of homebrew news in there, we need to know about homebrew.
5. I don't know how you guys are recording, but could you try to use a higher bitrate or something, keep it sounding nice.
6. The mthrnite feature is a great addition to the show.
7. If you think what you said went a little wrong, you fluffed your lines etc. do a bunch more takes, try to make it sound a bit more professional.
8. Let the show run as long as it needs to, don't drop features because you feel you are running out of time. Most people will not mind listening for an extra few minutes, even if the show runs for like three hours we will listen to it all.

Other than those points, I don't think I have anything worth saying, other than I am waiting eagerly for the next show.

Spinal.

Don't add background music because then people will complain about it and say you should use a different genre or whatever.
The silences make it more friendly, don't make it too professional, this is a community, not a company.
Maybe you could do two versions, a higher bitrate and a lower one

It's great already but these suggestions would improve it for me.

Well spinal_cord, you're kinda right, This last podcast was almost an hour if i'm not wrong, you could have done the same show in 20 minutes, with the same amount of information, just without the Ums, you should take the insignificant stuff out!

The insignificant stuff is gold. It's what makes tempcast tempcast. That would be like sucking the soul right out of it!!

Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about

I think there's a happy medium in the editing process. If there's any long gaps, yeah, they should be removed, but the "ums" can't really be edited out easily without the flow of the sentence sounding choppy. I'm pretty sure the "ums" will diminish naturally as the show matures. I too like the unpolished feel of the show and with time the hosts will become more accustomed to each other and things will speed up. Also, re-takes are fine in small doses, but spontaneity is more fun.

Don't get me wrong, a little polish ain't a bad thing, and some people prefer a more polished show. My favorite podcasts however, are fairly stark. Cheap Ass Gamer and Weekly Geek are good examples of good unpolished shows.

Volume levels are a different story. I can't stand it when everyone's voice is at different levels. Compression FTW!

Oh, and yeah, more homebrew, less dogz & poniez.

Who's doing the editing? perhaps you guys could get someone with some audio skills to edit. Adding compression, noise reduction and normalization would be good. A few small sound effects wouldn't go astray.

When is the next edition coming out? I don't know when the last one (3) came out or how far apart they should be so I can't guess. Knowing me, though there is a big flashing sign someplace on the forum but I keep missing it.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
