"Namco Bandai has welcomed back the PSP as a platform, announcing today that it will be bringing Tekken 6 to Sony's portable platform.

The PSP version of Tekken 6 looks pretty damn good, based on the handful of screen shots that IGN was able to acquire. Obviously, it's a step down from its PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 siblings, which ship to North America this Fall, but more than capable in the visuals department.

Namco Bandai says to expect ad hoc wireless multiplayer support, as well as an infrastructure mode that will allow for the upload and download of 'ghost' character data. The publisher also touts 'a deeper character customization feature will only enhance the incredible fighting intensity' for the PSP version."

If this game is being released on the PSP, I can also see a port of it for the wii, unless sony has bought the rights to PSP only.

Why is everytime a game is not released for this or that console there is someone saying: "Oh, they must have bought the rights to the game and blah blah blah".

Besides the fact that the Wii could run this, there is something called "Audience". Also, have you ever though that they just don't want to go though the trouble of having to code for more consoles? Already been released on 3 platforms.

Namco-Bandai is not EA that has "unlimited" resources.

Mate, sorry if I dont agree with you but it is a fair call. Look at GTA4: Lost and Damned. Microsoft bought the exclusive rights to that DLC. Look at every game that isn't multiplatform. One company owns the rights to the idea.
Besides, ports of PSP games are no out of the question. Medal of Honour Heroes 2 was released on both those platforms and they both sold well. A little extra legwork is nothing for an expanded audience. If anything, it will be smarted to release it on the wii as piracy on the PSP is so much worse.
