Not sure if this has been posted before, but TehSkeen's coding competition met it's deadline and about 10 new homebrew applications/games were released.

PS: Yeah i was hoping for some more applications and ports, but it's quite interresting nonetheless.

Hey, this bypasses 001 error, obviously dont require it, thats what geckOS is for

Tell you what have any of use tested some of these apps?
Smashing is WIIWARE QUALITY!!! well done!!!
Rokaban is good

CosmoRaketti is really good

3YOG good little puzzle game
all the others are decent aswell, Matches and wiicalc is a nogo im afraid, still well done!

Yeah the graphics on Smashing are very well done, hope to see more of that one in the future.
The Rokaban port is quite nice, especially for it's size.
CosmoRaketti is very enjoyable, but the concept in general is really xP

ive spoke to a few of them coders, i'm sure some of the apps will be altered

yeah, you're right its like wild west guns...... bit more of a demo though, like i said needs altering for bigger gameplay etc.

Miight is probably my 1st or 2nd favorite Wii project going on now.

very true i agree with that army, and the only other projects obviously wii64 and psx...other than that there isn't really anything else needed.

WiiSX, Bootmii and CSM are the projects i anticipate the most.
Anyway, i really hope the sources for these games will be released, They oughta help some beginners like me out quite a lot

I would love if someone could make the Wii play Dreamcast games. Maybe it isn't even possible but if it is, then I would have that in a second.

Not an emulator, just a way to make the Wii read the discs and boot them up?

Wow, i was expecting much more from this competition.

9 entries, mostly games... i expected at least one useful app.

This is a huge failure.

Most of the stuff released on wiibrew would win this contest by a mile.

That said, i'm talking about the comp overall, some of the entries are ok. Shooting looks decent.

I thought the exact same things you said.

I was hoping for maybe about 30 entries, most of which are utilities or something.
Not a horribly made "Matches" game.

Yep, whichever one of those gets the prize of 150 dollar + a bag of goodies, i don't think it was really deserved. Unless maybe smashed gets it, since it looks like the coding's clean and the graphics took a while. Dissapointing.
