Should the dpad be higher to offer a more relaxed and less tiresome experience?

yeah something like that would be definatelly helpfull

but i wouldn't take it out of the house. not because its so butt ugly but because of it bulkyness

i might go for one though, if i manage to find, as i don't see a possibility of another redisigned ds

the one with the rechargable battery looks interesting as well, and cheap

edit: Rayder's looks more comfortable tho

yeah but supposedly the grip has an extra one that recharges the rechargable battery of the ds ^^

edit: off topic, anyone got a nuby light for the brick that wouldn't mind parting with?

i would have thought that would destroy the DS lite's battery in the long run as it's constantly charging, anyways i found some grips for the DS lite here on amazon UK if you are interested.

http://amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_/026-7...=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go

a bit pricey so i am gonna leave it for now, i've got a lot of other stuff to buy atm.

Nah, the constant charging thing only affected old rechargable batteries, NiCad ones i think?
It was called memory effect and if you keep chargingit it loses a bit of its charge every time.
It doesnt matter if you constantly charge your DS though, it uses Li-Ion batteries(the new standard) and retains its charge

Im quite sure of this but correct me if im wrong

yeah you are right, just had a look on wikipedia and it just explain what you just said.

so far i've always just charged my DS lite when the light goes red, i guessing that means i can now charge it whenever.

The origonal silver DS had a great D-pad for me.
It was nearly perfect for 3D games and stuff.
Then they went with this new style and it just sucks ass.
Some say its good, but I find it frusturating with the curve of the D-pad and the fact that diagonals are harder since to d-pad dips down close to the case.

My favoirte D-pad is by far the Sega Genesis and Saturn pads.
With the diagonals on the D-pad. Saturn was perfect for fighting games :3
Sure wish sega would release their own Wii Classic controller.
The dreamcast one wasnt bad, but was a step down though.

I think Ive seen a small guide on these forums that shows how to place little plastic pieces to raise the D-pad up some and make diagonals register some in the DS lite.

I'll look and see if I saved it, I'll give ya guys a link if I can find it again.

i guess i have the weirdest taste anyone could possibly have...

my favourite d-pads by far are game cube's and virtual boy's (yeah i actualy owned one a long time ago ^^) great ergonomy both of them and fitted my hands perfectly o.O
