Im almost positive my switch is in RCM mode as last i used it, it was in autoRCM, but no matter what ive tried Tegra isnt detecting it, im not sure what to do at the moment so any advice or tips are extremely appreciated.

Is it possible the battery could have run dry? If you've been leaving it unused and unplugged for a long time, that's more than likely, in which case you might need to leave it on charge for a while before it's able to properly boot up.

Otherwise, I have nothing :/ if all else fails then the connector itself might be borked.

thats absolutely a possibility, but if thats the case how long would you leave it charging for?

the problem is what in RCM mode the batter doesn't charge well, so let it connected to original charger for 30 minutes and try again.

there is a thread about completely discharged switch already here on gbatemp.

Can you at least hear a new device connected sound when you plug it in? Also check device manager and see if you can find that libusb device (if you installed driver before) or anything new at all.
