Hacking Discussion Team Xecuter Websites Down.

What do you think happened most likely?

  • Nintendo DMCA'd them.

  • TX took the money and ran .

  • TX was loosing money because of ATMOS so they couldn't afford to pay their bills.

  • Standard TX hate comment.

Why not have a backup site? Since you are the only ones who host the binaries this is indeed dumb. Just make an apache basic install and forward the download section. This is done in 5 mins and you have all time in the world to move your server.
While I'm sure everyone thanks you for the tip on apache web servers, the problem is DNS, not web hosting.

Nintendo does not have the authority to shut down websites. They can certianlly send a C&D but im pretty sure xecuter could care less about nintendo's legal threats. I feel confident saying they likely host in a region that has loose regulations in regard to copyright law so that they don't face these kinds of issues. Its likely just normal server-side problems.
Ya sure about that? I think Soulja Boy would say different.

cronusmax
Well I say good riddance. The Cronusmax is a shitty clone product anyways. :tpi:
whats worse is its a clone of a clone with stolen code.

to their credit they did update newer hardware revisions of the cronusmax so the build quality is better. (I'm on my 3rd of them the V3, had the original from mid 2013 where the branding on the shell was from the people they originally ripped off and a 2nd one after it died)

so far i can say the current V3 model is soldered better, but the code is still all stolen and it has no switch support etc. and they claimed its "impossible" with the hardware

thats why i moved to consoletuner (one of the people they ripped off)they have switch support and much better customer service, i only wish i knew about consoletuner prior to going with cronusmax multiple times.

it goes to show better marketing and placement in gamestops/bestbuy etc can make a clone better the household name despite being worse then the original.

TLDR: screw cronusmax
consoletuner's titan series FTW

Can you get a refund from the reseller, or via your credit card or something, if you don't end up getting what you paid for?
I got it from https://www.axiogame.com/ but I doubt they will refund a digital good.
Even when I can proof it isn't used yet, because they send it to me after the site went down, I could still use the license later on, if TX is coming back online, I guess.

I just can't do anything about it now I guess... right?

I guess right now you can't. If the site never came back and you could never use what you paid for, I'd hope you'd get a refund one way or another.

Maybe like you said, I could do something through the Credit Card thing, I just never had to do it, I'll have to look up how that stuff works if TX doesn't come back.

i don't understand why all the panic,it's not like 8.0.0 is out,the ones who should be panicking are the TX team because new customers won't be able to verify their newly bought licences = loss of sales

is it verified, that the license check in SX try to get the URL, which is down? Sure, you cannot generate one on the offline Website.. but perhaps they build the check from the switch to another endpoint..

Nothing you are saying makes any sense. Licensing is down.
