Team Xecuter Delay Switch Modchip

SwitchTX.jpg

Today team Xecuter have released a new statement regarding their Nintendo Switch modchip: [prebreak]1[/prebreak]

"Here is a quick update on our product status:

After a few days delay due to Chinese New Year, we have finally received our prototype boards, as can be expected from any development cycle, we have experienced a few issues with reliability of our entry point, we will work on refining our method and keep you posted, stay tuned for more exciting news and videos in the coming weeks.

We are sorry for the delay, but we are also sure all Switch owners will be delighted by our product. It is worth the wait!"

No further information about the device is currently known, apart from there will be a solder and solderless version.

Few issues on the reliability of their entry point.
Why does that sound like a glitchchip in me ears.

I'll see what becomes of it.
Obviously, I'll have to get one to know the ins and outs of it, if I ever get a Switch with such a board installed for repairs.
My thoughts exactly. And it wouldn't be surprising seeing as glitch chips are what they're known for.
I hope they are actually trying to enhance the reliability of the exploit, fix any bugs or fix whatever caused the delay instead of not doing anything

Sounds like they're trying to at least.

Actually, TX is known for the old Xecuter chips on the old Xbox.
As well as 360 DVD drive flashing chips.
Glitch chips came way later ;p

But yeh, they're known for pushing out glitchchips the past few years.

Am I the only one who thinks this message seems suspicious? I’m referring to the delay in the scene homebrew launcher and now theirs has a delay. Perhaps they don’t have an entry point and are waiting for the homebrew launcher entry point…

Their video released before anyone else's, I don't see how that's be possible

No I understand but I tend to see the “gateway” side of things. GW started with their own stuff then started to copy scene work.

I could see them announcing something after watching 34c3 knowing scene work will assist them.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But it could be like GW was initially and be their own work too.

I am, however, highly anticipating both scene and XT features.

it takes a while to get boards from china. hopefully the next test board works as expected. i'll probably wait for the second gen anyway, but glad they're ensuring compatibility.

If there are "issues with reliability" of the entry point, that means the entire system is on shaky ground. That's not something you happen to discover after you've announced the product and made prototypes. Seriously, how could they not know this? It doesn't seem trustworthy.
