It's been a hot minute since I've seen one of these kinds of threads, usually it's an emulator, though!

"I'm putting together a team to make a SNES emulator for the vita. Looking for someone that knows how to program emulators, someone that can do art for the GUI, and someone good with community to answer questions!"

Emulators for you?
I certainly see them from time to time and they would be high in the running as a general category but the bulk of things if I was a betting type would be translations and pokemon hacks, and around the time pokemon launches only in Japan then translations of that rather than waiting a month. Minor repeats of the not waiting a month for the occasional Square-Enix game or Nintendo big franchise effort.
Usually accompanied by a dubious progress bar
Started project (download the ROM). 10% done.
Unpacked ROM (ran tool that tells you what files are inside and looked at the names). 30% done
Ran automated tool that gave outline of text encoding. 60% done.
What is a font? I mean editing characters (no characters yet edited). 70% done.
Managed to change a text line in proof of concept (managed to change a text line in proof of concept). 92% done.
How do I make the length longer (What is a pointer?). 95% done.
Project abandoned. Maybe a farewell message. Was really 97% done though (might see second proof of concept line edit or dubious script dump ran through automated translation software).

Wow most of the people here are rude for no reason.
I don't know if that is rudeness as much as snark.

As was at least intimated by everybody then such things do need someone bringing something to the party, and while I did not know anything about any previous drama that would not have really changed much.
Sometimes established developers can do an ambiguous recruitment (though even they will typically have a coded message) but even that is rare and you usually only get one of them before having to deliver something or a plausible failure report.

I know you all think iam a troll, a kid or somthing.
I just want to try do somthing without people trying to be rude or going at me beacuse "Iam a little kid". I have made lots of mistakes by just signing up for gbatemp. The only thing I have tried to do is make somthing and learn if it does not work. I know I have caused drama and stuff.
Sorry.

Man this got out of control quick. Whether it's shit or not, some of you guys contribute nothing. Stop shitting on this thread. If you're going to do something like Kosmos or whatever, just provide credits.

Wow most of the people here are rude for no reason. If you are not interested in the project, ignore it or give a constructive comment. The vast majority of those who have posted have done so just to belittle the author.

His project may be useless or unnecessary in your opinion but do your comments on it make it any better?
Thank you.

Look, the title is suspicious and the discription with the link for signing up is also the same. So, no wonder why a few people here are "shitting" in this thread. We already have a aio package. And his last one were deleted from github.

And even if he wanted to set up such a package, he would theoretically not even need members. I'll cobble one together for you in 10 minutes and upload it to Github. If he would program something himself, then it would make sense to look around for people. But he just takes existing stuff, zips it together and then? Then we have another AiO package that no one wanted and which is then discontinued after 3, 4 or 5 releases because the "leader" behind this "organization" supposedly doesn't have time for it anymore (in truth, he doesn't want it anymore because he's already overburdened himself with it). And then another package molds in the internet.
I dont get stuff and zip it up iam using the kosmos builder and I am giving credits

It's because he already had a AIO release called Trident that was simply copy n pasted from others work, and he released it as his own, without giving others credit for they're work. It got axed, now he's trying to start another.
It was not copied and pasted tho

Oh please god no, not *another* AiO Package.

Tell me: why should I use a new AiO Package from a completely new, thrown together team, when there are already good, approved AiO Packages?

Not to sound mean but this is a big waste of time that can be invested in much better things that would actually provide something new.

This is just wrong. Plain wrong 100%. So by that logic no new company should bother starting up or dare compete with the major corps of the world because they're already dominating. Because it's there, no one should create another. Logic101

Go do your thing! I'm all for ya! But just give others credit for the work that they've already done. And I told you from day one if you would simply ask these people to use they're stuff, and give them credit for it, they prob would of been alot more helpful and less angry bout the whole ordeal. But I hope you get your project going, and I'll be watching out for it, to test myself maybe. Good luck, and chin up there buckaroo.

Uhm...no. If a new company wants to compete with a well known company they habe to bring something new to the table. And his AiO package, going by his last thread and the answers in this thread show that he has nothing new planned that would make his AiO package better. Maybe we all should „build“ our own AiO package and post it here going by your logic.

This is not 80'-90', where you can be successful by just stealing ideas. :V

You do get rude people, but realistically their are certain things that you are lacking.
1) Any kind of plan, you mention you wan’t to put put a team together & you havent mentioned what you need(graphic designer, software developer etc)
2) Youve mentioned nothing about what your part is in the project or your experience, it almost appears as if you have none because of this
3) You haven’t mentioned exactly what you want to add with your project? What are you unhappy with about what already exist? What changes will you make?
4) You almost certainly havent contacted the developers, despite it being open source.

These are pretty basic things that you would require, just to mention a few.
Because of your complete lack of information, & experience. I think more as opposed to being rude, people will not take this seriously, which is in my opinion understandable.

DeepSea/Kosmos boot via fusee-secondary by default - some apps do not run properly via this method. moreover, it is a dumb way to do things for a number of reasons. but, even if you grabbed DeepSea and used fusee-primary, and grabbed the proper sigpatches... You could have saved a shit ton of time just grabbing my AtmosPack, which includes all that, and more. Preset, working, and fully featured. Kosmos was a weak attempt at packing stuff together after I already perfected it. Unnecessary.
