Got my grubby hands on some Takis. They are needlessly expensive here and there are tons of (arguably better) cheaper local alternatives, but this is WORLD FAMOUS(TM) so here we go.
Since "teriyaki" is more of an idea than an actual recipe, I can't say the flavor is or isn't spot on. There's sweetness and the soy sauce and a little bit of acidity. Whole lot of flavor powder, the tortilla chip to powder coating ratio is very generous. Not bad.
The heat is not up front, doesn't kick you in the face with the first bite and if you only eat one piece you might not even notice it. But it builds up after several chips to a medium heat that's just right to not overpower the other flavors but add a little hit.
Try it if you get a chance and can get them cheap.
