I was going to the homebrew channel to load wii music back-up and then it said i needed a 'wii system update'
It loads about 95 % then stops. Is it ok to turn off the wii and ignore the update(at least turn off the wii) what will happen if i do turn it off?

PLZ answer soon.

Either:

* the update is infact completed and you can play joyfully.

* you'll brick it. corrupted files. have nand backup with bootmii?

* you'll brick it. boot2 is overwritten with the update. install bootmii (again)

* you can reinitiate the upgrade to 4.2. (hopefully this is the case)

Whatcha wanna do?

Don't panic about the disc update. Wii Music contains the System Menu 3.3 update, which will not even remotely touch boot2.

It's probably (I'm not guaranteeing it) safe to shut off and restart the Wii. If you have Preloader/Priiloader or BootMii, you can do so with practically no risk.
