Hardware Systems Position Question

I have both a "fat" original PS3, PS4, and an XBox One. Can all those systems be placed/stand on their sides? If yes, do they need special stands or something so systems can be on side?

I have a first model PS3, and it has rubber bumps on a side to put it standing vertical

, you can also rotate the PS logo to match the orientation.
