ok, how do i turn the title.tmd and the 0000000.app into a wad file?
I'm trying to patch IOS36, I just need to get a wad of cIOS v7 and then tools to pack/unpack them

the IOS are region free, the SysMenu....NO, the games have to be same region as your Wii so this work right...!!!

I'd just like to say that if you do release the CIOS's, please include 2 archives: 1 for the CIOSs, and one for the untouched IOSs. THat way we'll be able to get it back to normal if we want to. Good Job! Again...

just a note, the IOS patching doesn't work on IOS22 and lower, they are not compatible does anyone know of any games that run off of IOS22 and lower cause i'm not going to be able to get them to work

errrm ook, i can pack the wads, but how do i unpack the 0000001.app from the cios?

i believe red steel is one of the games that is below ios22 (i think it was ios 9 if memory serves)
I knew my game id and ios wiki would be usefull one day... This is all the games i have listed that are below 22.

the game below IOS22 you need to patch to Ios249 i can't find a way to Patch them cause the IOS is in a wierd Format, and to rip the CIOS rev7 app1 file all you need to is run the CIOS rev wad thourgh a wad unpacker you will have to rename it in.wad to unpack doing that gives a folder just look inside and there the file just take it out

Yes and that list is by no means complete. Unfortunatly i only had three of four days before people stopped posting IOS's way back when. The List as it currently stands can be found in the wiki under game id's and ios's. I wonder if one of the IOS below 22 is responsible for reading of gamecube discs dvd commands.... Would make sence with ios9 being used for the wii version of twilight princess.. and 21 being used for the RE game.

Well the newer games you can get to work cause they are above IOS22 but has far as i can see theres nothing to do on the games below that IOS besides patching there IOS to a different IOS like IOS249.

We need someone with more IOS experience to take a look at ios 21 and ios 9 to see if there is anyway to patch them safely. That or wii or wan to tell us what exactly the rebooter/menupatcher alter in ram to allow all the backups to run from the system menu so we can place it into the nand.

you will probably have to file dump it from your nand as we arnt allowed to distribute the wad anymore just the installer... maybe someone will be nice and PM it to you though.

If you want IOS9 and IOS21 games working, just install a cIOS36rev7 as IOS9+IOS21, that's not very difficult to do. Seriously, if somebody doesn't know how it works, but wants it, that's ok. If somebody wants it, but doesn't understand at all how it works, really really shouldn't do this.

Wiipower. you knew it was comming, and if they don't take the appropriate precautions well so be it, they get what they deserve. Don't stop working on this just because a few noobs are going to stupidly brick themselves.... Oh and fors has announced he will release dashboard and the pre-lude to CSM this month. So for those who have no clue what they are doing... JUST WAIT!!!

I have a beginner's understanding of IOS ARM code and that earlier IOS's were not broken up into their respective modules, which im assuming is the snag you are referring to. Once I get my initial projects out of the gate, I do plan on overhauling an IOS and making it modular, like a skeleton. My plans are to use this IOS and give it the ability to change its memory space at will, loading and unloading modules on the fly without actually changing the IOS number. This grants the compatibility of all IOS's in one, and also will allow the backup reading patches to be applied on the fly and at will. Hopefully then USB2 support can be written and implemented into the IOS i speak of, and everyone (including myself) will be satisfied. But these at the moment are just projections. Im afraid I lack most of the knowledge you're looking for, but given time after my initial releases im sure I can be of some help. Then I can devote more time to learning ARM and disassembling the IOS modules.

Take the installer source, change the destination IOS, compile. The installer seems to have problems with overwriting, so to use AnyTitleDeleter before might be good idea. If you get an error when you try to compile, you use the wrong libogc version. The latest multi_cios_installer uses the new one.

Ok i see, just change the destination and re-compile i understand that, that would give my the option to install every IOS,as CIOS am i understanding this right
