    Hi,

Which one is better (just wanna install games, dlc, VC)?

Do I need SysConfigTool to install RedNAND with Mocha CFW (without Haxchi)?

    Thanks :)

Better? SysNAND CFW, end of story. Safer? Probably RedNAND. I've never liked RedNAND/EmuNAND but that's just my personal preference. That doesn't mean it's the safest nor most sensible choice.

As to your second question, I believe you do, but there's no good reason not to use Haxchi. It's quite safe. Sure, you need to buy a DS Virtual Console game first but most of them are fairly cheap and it works wonders. Just make sure you don't install the same game from the same region that you injected Haxchi into.

You can just use Haxchi and go no further - meaning you just have to run it every time you boot the system. Else you can use Mocha or CBHC. Mocha is slower but has some more features (though ones most people probably won't need). I prefer CBHC. It's up to you, really, but if you want the safest option, go for regular Haxchi.

    Not under a rock.
    1. redNAND is definitely the safest.
    2. If you just want to install games, sysNAND CFW is the one you're looking for.

Running a sysnand cfw, with a 200 to 500 GB hard drive - that's enough for installing all the major games and some more

No, in fact it's the opposite - if you want to use SystemConfigTool (which is cool and convenient, but all its features that are useful on a retail console can be done in different ways) you should only install if you use rednand (with any cfw) or sysnand with cbhc, because the port to retail consoles isn't signed but somewhat interferes with console booting

    Ok thanks to all :)
Are there any risks installing games, DLC and VC?

No*, as long as you're sure they're actually standard applications/dlc instead of system titles (and downloading direct from Nintendo, rather than shady sites, is an excellent way of being sure)

    * all writes to nand can potentially damage it, and when you're installing a title you're writing a ticket to nand; but writes to nand also happen just by turning on the console, so the 100% safest computer system is the one that's not plugged in and this has been known since computers were invented :P

    I see, thanks. :)
I prefer using backups from my games.
Isn't downloading from Nintendo servers illegal? Since it's not the intented use of these?
