Homebrew Homebrew app sys-patch - sysmod that patches on boot

Saw linkalho mentioned a few times, would that be a must-have for avoiding game card checks? Wanna find any workaround I can, even if I have to setup an emunand for offline stuff

Using linkalho makes this... Can it be patches related?
completely unrelated, linkalho and tinfoils built-in account linker hasn't worked since 17.0.0 (not working as in, attempting to be done new will result in errors).

you've probably managed to force linkalho to do stuff, but it hasn't actually ever worked correctly since 17.0.0.

such is consequence of no source code to actually address core issues they have had, but mostly it's nintendo changes.

i have always advocated/recommended instead linking a real nintendo account on sysnand and making an emummc with it, and blanking prodinfo paired with dns-mitm config blocking all nintendo domains, and never recommended using fake linkers.

Okay, but is there likely to be a workaround to the gamecard prompt at any point? I've even tried opening my game in flight mode and it just tells me to connect to the internet (used awoo to install per a commented suggestion)

disable nogc patches.

if fusee.bin boot, /atmosphere/config/stratosphere.ini

Code:
[stratosphere]
; To force-enable nogc, add nogc = 1
; To force-disable nogc, add nogc = 0
nogc = 0

if hekate boot

/bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini

autonogc=0

I deleted the sys-patch, and the games are still acting up – so it’s not because of that.

This also happens with the original game as soon as Wi-Fi is active or the device has internet access. There might be a problem in this regard, and certain servers are not being blocked. If I activate airplane mode, it works, but some games then want me to turn off airplane mode.

If the Linkelho shortcut is removed, it works normally again.

OK...

So the only solution for banned consoles is downgrade to 17 (or lower), fake link an account and upgrade to desired firmware...

Duckbill007 said that he can link accounts in a more legit mode... Hopefully he ads that to DBI...

it might be as low as 14.0.0, if imma be honest, i kind of never bothered investing time looking into it, as the linkalho crap wasn't open source, and i wasn't interested in decompiling it either, as i personally never needed to link fake accounts, as i always just used a genuine linked nintendo account with NSO+ subscribtion active, as that caches a whole lot more priviledges, even if you don't connect for a year.

(i also buy games, shocking!!)

the binaries in circulation didn't originate from the open source repositories, things have been weird since the start.

https://github.com/HamletDuFromage/linkalho
https://github.com/Switch-Bros/linkalho

anyway, at the current time i looked into it, there was no 1:1 open source repository for the binaries being distributed. (still seems to be the case for most part until last year?)
how do i download the nros from the links when i go there is no link on page my other issue is my console is banned and due to an accidental install that corrupted i am unable to link an official account or create a new emmumc with one created for me anyways it seemed linkhalo worked on the last update someone recompiled a version that launches but when i used to link thats when i got the flashing please wait thing i realy hope there is a fix otherwise i am screwed

Downgrade maybe...

I'm just reverting to 16.1.0 for testing

Edit:

16.1.0 - OK (restoring defaults)
linkalho - OK
upgrading to 21.0.0 - OK

All games tested and forwarders OK (SNES online too)

About to test this, do I need to be offline for it to work? Wanna make sure I don't cock anything up

Just tried it (dns blocking shenanigans active) and it's still tryna connect to servers to check virtual gamecard. Has anyone found a way other than the hekati.ini stuff?

UPDATE: forgot to turn patches back on after fixing atmosphere. Everything works now! <3
