Hardware Syncing 3rd wiimote

When I go to sync a 3rd controller only the 1st blue led flashes not all 4. I have held the wii sync button in for more than 15 secs on the health and safety screen to de-sync the other 2 wiimotes. I have managed to sync the other 2 after this but the 3rd one still does not work...do I have a duff wiimote or do I only get to beat 1 friend at the 100m sprint?

Plug out the Wii completely for a minute, plug it back in, and resync all the remotes.

Sorry should have stated that I have unplugged the wii and left it off and also taken the batteries out of the 3rd wiimote...still no luck....thanks for quick reply

Errr... Have you tried unsync the first two, then trying to sync the third one first? If that doesn't work then it's a faulty wiimote. If it works, then it's a faulty Wii.

Yeah, I'm almost sure then it's a faulty Wiimote. Good thing Nintendo has 1 year warranty on hardware.
