Interesting, never knew the cluster size would have made a difference. Was the 16kb the default version? Or did you change it to 16 the first time by accident?

trimmed roms may be more easy for Ninty know it is a backup game?
When playing online ?

you should edit your original post with the solution.

enjoy wasting hours using xcicutter when explorer can do it instantly
the reason cutter takes longer is because its making a copy of the file so as to leave the original intact. explorer just trims the original file. I like to keep an original so i use xcicutter.

I mean, they won't check the size in the so said "cart"?
Checking the size means they have to know what they are looking for. If they know the file is smaller than what they are looking for, then that means they already know there's a backup on the card, defeating the purpose of checking whether the size matches or not.

That's what I said(?)
If they check for size and see the game is smaller then they know it is a backup (?)

Or do you think they don't check for the size ? (But wait, can they check it?)

Maybe just a little paranoia here. Don't know

A trimmed .XCI means you're removed garbage data that was used to fill up the original cartridge the game came on. If you don't know that its trimmed, it looks like a plain old file that has the .XCI extension. So when you look at its size, how would you know its trimmed? Because you would have to already know what the original size of the .XCI file was. But knowing that much means you already know that they're running a .XCI meaning its pointless if its trimmed or not because they should only care that you're running a dump of a game since that alone is a violation of their Terms of Service and you get banned.

Oh, got it =D
ty for the explanation !
If its any consolation, I am collecting data on people who are banned and I do ask if they use trimmed .XCIs. So far, no definitive pattern has emerged but if there is, I will share that information when I'm confident enough that its a real risk factor.
