Long story short; I hex edited Magician's Quest to have the students I wanted (Which involved changing hex values in specific address). Assuming that it would be would the same in the Japanese only game (known as Tongari Boushi Mahou Tsukai); but it seems that's not the Case. I've been searching for where the exact location of where hex codes for in town students (so I can swap one of the characters with a much better) since yesterday to today, but no cigar; I've been searching in the nds file via a multiple hex editors, but since I can't read hexadecimals; It's been a pain looking for the exact value for the character I wanna swap. Can anyone please help point out where exactly the address for the slot of the student (the student in question is named Chester If it helps his original hex number in the first game is 0x0c the character is name Martha and if I think I'm doing this right her ID in the game's NPC files is 1139) and their hex values in the nds file hexes (I have no idea if hexes is the right term in this situation sorry if that isn't helpful! ;_; )
