I'd like to first preface that i have little to no idea what i'm doing and im probably an idiot.
with that being said, I purchased a switch from ebay, that already had an sx pro used on it. when buying the guy said it should work fine, just don't ever turn it off as the sx pro was not going to be sold with the unit. unfortunately the switch arrived with 1% battery and died before i ever got to charge it. making it turn off. its now a black screen that does nothing, im assuming ill need the dongle thing. i've ordered my own sx pro but its going to be some days before it comes. is there anyway i could get it to turn back on using a pc method? perhaps a kind soul could give me a quick step by step.

First off let it charge for a few hours.
After that when you press power you wont see anything but a black screen (autorcm).

At that point you can use tegrasmashgui on a PC or an android phone to push a payload. Push hekate if you want to turn off autoRCM so it will boot normally. You may have to first install autoRCM and then uninstall it if you want to boot without a jig

The SX Pro dongle is just a payload injector + a SX OS licence. So yes, TegraRcmGUI does the same thing by injecting the payload.

Select the SX_Loader.bin and choose "Inject Payload". The SX OS splashscreen should appear on your Switch. If that's the case, let your Switch boot and you're done.

Wow, really? You just spent "a lot" of money for nothing since your SX OS licence is already activated. There are other dongles that are much cheaper. You don't need a SX Pro dongle to use SX OS.
