I'm thinking it could also be how you boot into CFW, for instance, the bridged joycon pins could be a dead giveaway. Especially if you keep them like that when you start playing with them in OFW

I did save modding and I'm fine, but other than that and game backup, no other homebrew for me, and definitely no layered.

BTW @NeoSlyde , i saw a report of the one guy who got banned only using sx os offline. Apparently he didn't update or anything either, but I'm not if it really didn't do something else that could have triggered the ban (i.e. a payload injection method that triggered an error log)

even when you are offline when you boot to SX OS and load a backup game for the very first time, Nintendo knows right away that there is an update.. how can this be? your offline and its the first time you ever booted that game.. does this means Nintendo is pushing update info to our devices even though we dont have that game? Any thoughts on this?

Me thinks this is a part of the last system update you installed. There is probably an internal list of titles and their latest version at the time of release of this system update. So when you boot the game for the first time, online or offline, it will tell you there is an update for it. It was the same thing on the 3DS, if I'm not wrong.

I think its the homebrew when online. Nintendo probably keeps records of everything that's being played at the current moment so that they have analytical data for attach rates for certain games and when you load up a homebrew nintendos servers are over here goin "whatcha doin over there bud" and the switch basically responds with " i don't freakin know m8 this dudes a madlad and a half" because at least when you play a backup the switch can respond with "Oh its zelda my guy, it's been played for half an hour"

So here's how I fixed my potential ban (if it isn't too late). All I did was use OFW to update the SX carts but I have a feeling that might be enough.

Anyway I deleted all legit accounts and software from the Switch and now using a disposable account and keeping everything offline until they release the newest h/w revision. I also recommend completely deleting any wifi info instead of just using airplane, doesn't mean Nin doesn't try to sneak stuff over the wifi if it sees an available connection.

My games are mostly physical carts so I'll just sign in to the new one and hope all of my eShop stuff is still there. Thankfully even then it's only a few cheaper games.

Not at all concerned if the console itself gets a ban as long as it isn't my account with paid stuff on it that I won't be able to use later. Really should have done this before tinkering! haha.
