Hello, Just a question.

I have SX OS installed and AutoRCM enabled.

However, whenever I power off my Switch via the menu, it doesn't actually power off.

If I plug my Switch into my computer directly after a power off it connects.

Thus, the battery runs out if I power it off and leave it sitting over night.

I'm using SX OS 1.2...Was this fixed in 1.3? Or is there another way?

Thanks.

Another person who does not understand how AutoRCM works.
This is normal because when you have autoRCM on, the switch will boot to RCM about 12 seconds after you power it off from the Horizon.

Yup. I'm just another person.

Thanks for the answer though. I guess the best option is to keep it sleeping then.

You can still power off your Switch. Boot into the sx os menu while in RCM mode. With auto RCM installed you must hold the plus(+) button while injecting the payload. This will cause the bootup to hold on the menu, you first saw when using sx os the first time.

From there go to Options - > Power off. Now your Switch should power off completely. Be aware that putting it into your dock will power it back on.

I swear I've turned it off through the switch power menu in sxos and it has really "turned off" and not been in rcm. Then 12 seconds later it might have went rcm, idk but I thought it was going off. Would be really nice to have real clarification, as there's a lot of conflicting info on this subject.

When you power the switch off from horizon, it does indeed power off. However, as soon as you just touch the power button - No long press, or connect any powered usb device or cable, it will go to RCM. Even with an installed trinket /rebug / whatever samd device you have

True, but that's not what is happening here.
It indeed powers itself back to RCM, if AutoRCM is installed (because who knows why, it wakes itself after 12 sec to check something. Nobody really knows why).

This isn't correct. I just powered down switch from power menu. 30 secs later stick in dongle, no boot. Press power, it boots.

True is, that it wakes itself up for a check after 12 secs. If AutoRCM is installed, it boots into RCM, because it is probably checking the partition where AutoRCM is install (the bricked partition) GIve me a sec. I am recording a proof for ya all :P

Well we're getting different results then, eh? Just tried again, same result, I am not in RCM 2 mins + after hitting power down in power options in horizon.

And do you have autoRCM or brickmii?
I installed autorcm though hekate caer mod a long time ago. Maybe I installed sx auto rcm also? Idk exactly which autorcm I have tbh.

I keep trying my dongle too, it's not booting this switch. It's powered off.

No, it boots to rcm. I just hit power from when it was powered down. Now black screen. Insert dongle, SXOS pops up.
Interesting.

What FW do you have?

???

@Kubas_inko You still making that video? I'm interested to see how yours works.
Yea, just trying to remove sound :D. I am verifying it by Trinket and wake up events.
