I meant the other teams can break open the Switch security in the first place. Know inside out of how the exploit work.

Why are these teams scrambling to discredit and crack SX OS to add it's features to their "free" software? Why not use their own code?

I don't follow the question.

Are you saying they don't write feature for themselves and need to look at somebody else code to get idea?

So they are not going to release a cracked SX OS then? Only in it for the fun? Very interesting.
You're confused. They don't release cracked SX OS. They make fun of TX claims. One of which their product is well secured/ unhackable. Show proof it's indeed cracked. They put out the lifeboat (the password) for whoever is unfortunate enough to get bricked by brickcode.

TX never claimed SX Pro/SX OS was "unhackable."

How do you know this? Making assumptions? They will probbaly use code from SX OS . OR they are wasting time cracking something instead of "working" on thier own product . Makes no sense

As much they may relase the ways they used to crack it, but i don't think they will relase it completly, they are doing it mainly because they like to do it.

They like to pirate? Funny because the dev of Hectate stated he HATES piracy .hypocracy at its finest.

So much of this. I wouldn't be surprised if ReSwitched doesn't pursue legal precedent. It seems more like they just wanted to prove to the community how "bad" TX is with solid evidence. Its interesting to say the least that TX is not 100% original not to mention that TX can no longer claim the title of never being cracked, but its more of a drama than the beginning of something more.
Just reminds me of what someone was saying last year... That the TX we have now isn't what we had 10 years ago... It all makes sense..

Its not pirating if the other is a pirate, its justice! jokes aside its still not pirating, is hacking.

They want to crack for fun, the goal isnt to get something after beating the crack, just like do just dont get anything when you finish a hard game, they do it for the challenge. Now i dont say they wont release it, i just wanna say that its bs to say that they are "wasting time cracking something" when they are CRACKERS and crack things for the fun of it. Just see it as a videogame for them, is playing videogames a waste of time? Or do you enjoy the time you sepnd with videogames?

Their own claims are that they will release a fully working crack. Now they are also claiming that SX OS uses "stolen code" from their own software (even though their versions have none of the advanced functionality) in order to spin the fact that they are going to use cracked code to add SX OS features to their own stuff. :switch:

Proof please.

The OP of that thread is misleading, and you hung up on that notion. Releasing the crack here is more about the method to look inside SX OS, not pirate the shit out of pirate. What people do when they're inside is up to their liking and responsibility.

Seem like pirate is easy to be confused. Not every hack, mod, crack is about piracy. Just like the open source info, methods out there with some skill would enable piracy already, but it's not the intention of such methods/tools...

You can contact hexkyz to clarify.

Hexkyz said he'll disclose how you can crack SX OS but he won't release a cracked SX OS. Its up to someone else to figure out how to do and recompile it for everyone else. They're basically giving us the tools and knowledge to do it ourselves.

That makes them both pirates . It's not that, it's the fact that the Hectate dev stated he hates piracy.

I'm not a lawyer, so my word isn't gold here, but, iirc, "no license" is the same as "All rights reserved", which means you can't really use it at all without the author's permission, especially not commercially.

https://github.com/switchbrew/nx-hbloader/issues/1#issuecomment-394119181

Edit: That being said, fincs did say the license on the HBL might change in the future..
Even if there was a license, TX is from China, China gives no fucks about that shit. The Chinese will copy as much as they can.

Good for them. I was just pointing out what no license meant, not speculating on what they will or will not do. :P

You know the first part about pirating a pirate makes justice was a joke, right?, i even said it, "jokes aside" what they are doing cracking it is not piracy, is hacking, is not the same thing
