Hold on, so it is nog good that i am on 4.1?
Only disadvantage to being on 4.1 and using SX OS is that you cannot use the eShop, update games, or play online. However, you risk getting banned doing all of these on 5.1 while using SX OS so you have to weigh your chances.

Well, pre 5.x will get a warmboot solution and eventually a coldboot solution way sooner than 5.x will be. My point was just that sx os isn't technically burning the fuses they just piggyback off of 5.1 OFW. Its not like EXTRA fuses. But if you were on 4.x and run sx os, its basically like updating to 5.1 and it burns the fuses just like a standard OFW update does

This may be a stupid question. But what are fuses and how do I go about burning them?

Its a form of downgrade protection where every few system updates or so, Nintendo literally burns a fuse in your Switch. When the console turns on, it compares the number of fuses burnt with the current firmware. If they don't match, it will not boot up. Also, fuses are a hardware modification so you cannot simply reverse this with any piece of software. Read more here: http://switchbrew.org/index.php?title=Fuses

I have run the SXOS (without licence key) but my 4.0.1 system boot also, the efuse don't seem to be burned. This burned efuse is a random bug?

Does this mean anything? Are they in the same place as before?
It helps them to see more of the base code TX uses in their software which can be used in understanding how the licenses are generated, any holes in their firmware, etc. A good analogy would be a translating a book into a different language that you can understand. Now you can read it, but you won't know anything until you start reading.

Oh, i mean, i kinda know what is it for, but i wanted to know if PRAGMA or the other guys discovered something with that. It looks like nothing, at least for now. Thanks!

Where could I download the OS? no "we don't approve of downloading pirated software" nonsense please, for obvious reasons.

sx.xecuter.com

It's not illegal to the share that site. Not until they host roms.

You can download the OS with the above website, but remember that without a valid license or crack, you will be unable to launch game backups with it.

You cannot say that for certain

Looks like Prag's made some progress, not sure how important it is though
