Have some questions about the SX OS -

- Can you switch SD cards?
- How easy is it? Whats the process?
- Can you move the games that you insert on the SD card to the console's memory?
- Where are the saves for these games saved?
- How easy is it to move saves? Is it a file on the SD card that can simply be copied pasted?
- How do I go about updating my SX OS?

These are all the questions that I have on my mind.

Just to add a personal question

Can you use it without creating a Nintendo ID at all

  1. Yes
  2. The SD cards can only be removed when the console is turned off. Removing the SD card while it is on will corrupt the SD card due to the Switch setting a flag during this process
  3. No
  4. Saves are stored within the Switch's NAND/eMMC (internal memory)
  5. No you need a homebrew that can move saves from the Switch's internal memory
  6. Replacing the boot.dat from the company's website

Thank You, and I'm assuming that its possible for me to go into my settings and manage my saves (delete the ones I'm not playing). And I'm assuming that if I play Mario Odyssey, then remove from my SD card, play 12Switch, and then decide I like Odyssey better, put that back on my SD card, my saves would still be there?

Yes, you can delete save data from the Switch without external modifications. Saves are saved inside the Switch so your data will be there even if you swap games.

I have a basic question to add to this:

Using SX OS with AutoRCM.

Prior to entering my SX OS key, when I would boot using payload.bin I'd boot into a menu that would allow me to pick between SX OS and stock firmware. After entering my key I now boot directly into SX OS. Does anyone know how to enable that menu again?

Hi, can I assume under SX OS the saved game can still be accessed if I switch sdcards and play the game on a new sdcard with the same game?

Save data is stored on the console itself, not in the .XCI/.NSP file or within SX OS.

Hold vol + during the boot
