Hello,

I received a Nintendo Switch from a friend to examine more closely as it no longer turns on. It has been reported that a modchip may be installed, but not by a professional service, but privately. A colleague has already checked, but could not find a modchip. Unfortunately, I do not have the necessary tools to check this myself, but I plan to borrow them and then provide photos. At first the Switch worked fine and showed no errors. However, after some time while playing, it suddenly turned off and has not started since. I have tried all possible key combinations that can be found online, including after removing the SD card, but to no avail. When I connect the Switch via a USB cable and press the power button, I hear the PC recognize it or not, depending on whether I press the button again. I suspect that there may not be a modchip installed at all, but that a CFW was installed via the SD card, since this is an unpatched version of the Switch (model number XAJ7001533).

Out of interest, I started TegraRcm and the switch was actually recognized in RCM mode. Now I booted Fusee_Atmosphere but this message came up:

Also this was on the SD-Card:

Can anyone help me with this one?

It might be that the SD card board is not connected properly to the motherboard.
The connector might have come loose or it might have detached itself from the motherboard.

Atmosphere needs the SD card to start itself so it will get angry if it cannot initialize the SD card.

In a rare case it might have been bricked but let's first check the sd card connector.
Maybe also check for missing pins on the SD card reader.

The switch gas autorcm setup which is why it “wont turn on”. It’s automatically going into rcm mode waiting on a payload to boot.

The sd card is likely fine but you need to send the hekate or fusee payload to boot into sysnand or emunand.

Send hekate and turn that auto rcm shit off.
