The license is a file : license-request.dat that needs to be uploaded to SX OS license website and patched in the process. you put that in your SD Card.Do I need to deal with plugging into the PC and all that initial set up?
I don't know what to do at this point. I have installed the basic files on the reformatted sd card and it will not boot into anything, besides the regular Switch firmware.

Anyway when you boot Hekate, do you get an error saying "emmc not init"? If so your emmc ( your memory) is corrupted ...

Because you upgraded to 9.0 OFW you cannot boot SX OS.I'm trying Atmosphere tonight instead.

Yes, move to Atmosphere.
I did not update I was going to by taking the memory card out to put into my PC to update. However I did not make it that far. By removing the SD card without shutting it off I think caused some issues.

I always thought these hacks only added to the SD card and not the actual console?
Yes the hacks are mostly in the SD card ( RCM mode is on the actual console ) , your SD card is probably corrupt.
Try using a diferent micro SD card.
You don't have backup of all your files?
Booting Hekate by pushing the hetake payload directly to the switch should work even with no SD card.
What do you mean you can't get it to load without injecting a payload? How else are you supposed to get it to load?So I now have SX OS working again. The only issue now is I cannot seem to get it to load without injecting a payload. The SX dongle doesn't seem to be working.

Dongle is probably dead.
Oh. You meant versus the dongle. I mean, if the dongle isn't dead, it should work. It's kind of hard to break these things...I mean I shouldn't have to plug it into the PC every time it shuts down. The dongle is not dead, I have charged it.
