Switch System Controllers w/ Windows 11

has anyone had any luck getting the nes, snes, genesis, or n64 controllers working in emulators on windows 11? I can sync them just fine, but when it comes to mapping the controllers, no inputs work. any solutions??

I've got the SNES themed one's and got the same results, they can be paired but no button is registered on Windows 10.

Most likely they will need a driver.

Edit: Steam now has support for them, so it might be a matter of time to set them free from Steam's environment.

Edit 2: They're supported on PC using reWASD software (not freeware).

I was actually able to get them to work on windows 10 with the old laptop, so it may be related to the bluetooth driver??

Yeah most likely that's the reason.

I got wiinusoft to work with the wiiu pro controller on everything. it's set to autoconnect when I press power, so that's probably what I'll use. it has good battery life being the main reason. I think all the extras with other controllers, like the dual sense, causes battery life to be much worse.

If emulation is your goal and you like electronics projects, you could build your very own SNES bluetooth controller using BlueRetro.

I've built mine for playing on my Switch Lite using BlueRetro v1 Spec, but you can use v2 Spec for making it compatible with any bluetooth device and Switch:

That has now become a retro project for me to play with, quite like the idea of playing on either a ps5 or xbox one x with an old looking console
