Hey guys! Before this post begins, I want to point out that I am not the one who has done this. Hell, I don't even own a switch yet. Now, we can begin.

So, a pioneer of the newly forming Switch hacking community, @laramie, has posted something on Twitter at https://twitter.com/MartinezLaramie/status/838500698941702144/ pointing out we have RAM flushing on the Switch now. This is a step in the right direction towards homebrew development on the Switch. Also, I should point out that this is only the 3rd day after release of the Switch and we are already somewhere. I would like to have this thread be a major thread for future Switch homebrew developments until we have a specific section for homebrew and hacking. Thank you all for reading and as always, happy hacking! :D

P.S. Once we have more information on this, maybe @TCPixel could do a report video on this? ;)

Got to love the smiley on the url when the picture before was uncensored :P

Also, the payload show exactly the same on my Chrome Browser.

It's nothing. Its literally a page that just outputs text that looks complicated. It will say the same thing no matter what device you're on.

Here is his page
http://laramie14technology.net/Switch/payload.php

Here is "mine" http://cloud.redthetrainer.com/payload.php

they both say the same thing. If you view the source it does nothing

I think he means a ram dump rather than a flush. Since a flush clears everything, in normal computer talks.

You obviously don't know what a RAM dump looks like. And you obviously also don't know that 2 lines are nowhere near the size of a RAM dump.

Additionally that guy posted "Now we know what to exploit" with a screenshot of the browser "data".
Browser version and user data etc. Is known since day 1 with a ton more info than this.
And how would he come up with a RAM exploit if he apparently didn't knew that.

You're either really naive OR trying to give some friendsome "fame".

Yea this is all BS. All he is doing is printing text on a screen and acting like it is more then it is

PHP:
$memory = $_SERVER;
foreach ($memory as $k => $v) print($k.': '.$v.'\n<br>') && flush();
I did it. I totally flushed my $memory :yayswitch:

I used my server for testing... My actual memory flush php isn't on my public server. I make sure that's a local server ;) The public a poc without my actual code. If I just left it on a public server anyone could claim it as there own. Hell, I thought the "test.txt" would have given the fact that it's a test away lol

No offense but I'll believe it when I see it. If this claim is in fact true then more power too you and I'll gladly admit that I'm wrong. However nothing else has shown otherwise. So I'm sure you can understand why we feel this way and think what we do.

I do, I don't really care if threads get made about my tweets and my progress... I tweet my progress to keep people updated. I have some dumps but give me a break... The things been in my hands for 48 hours lol

People is not even done with Wii U.... let them finish!!! D:

Do you have past experience with dumping RAM etc?

Yeah, i nevermind. Yes, and I assume that wiiu shot was intended to me? Yeah I used a wiiu payload to see if it'd work and well no duh it didn't wotk but it did spit out that it was the wrong "OS" so the switch can determine other console payload codes. Which is neat. Also part of the test to see if I could get wiiu code on the switch. (seeing if they fixed the old mistakes ;) I mean webkit is webkit.... from the 3ds, to the wiiu, to the switch.

Every time I see one of your posts, you're spouting off about something you obviously don't understand and giving out a bunch of false information.
Do you even put any effort into this crap?

My favorite is your third payload that can't even execute at all because it's invalid. Heck that might be the first Switch kernel exploit! /s

In all seriousness maybe you should learn how to handle basic PHP tasks such as setting up a method of emailing yourself (instead of having a textarea that pastes itself into the body of an email client when "submitted"...) before trying to use the language to exploit consoles..

Edit:
I missed this golden post:
but it did spit out that it was the wrong "OS" so the switch can determine other console payload codes. Which is neat.

You have just proven that you know absolutely nothing^^

In your previous tweets, you posted excerpts from the AArch64 programming manual and acted like you read top-secret Switch information. The AArch64 manual is publicly available and only has info about the standard ARMv8 architecture, not any Nintendo-specific stuff.

I'm gonna have to lock this. There is just too much misinformation and lack of understanding for there to be anything of use here.
