Hardware Switch probably dead - help suggestions

Hey guys, got a serious problem here:

as I mentioned in the title, I think my Switch died on me(to be precisely, in the hands of my friend v
She won't turn on - I tried the following:

Hard Reset - no result
Hard Reset while at the charging cable - no result
Put her in the dock - the dock light flashes a few secs(so power is on) but after that, no reaction

Can't transfer the picture to the TV too - last thing I will try is to decharge it completely and hope this will fix it.

If not, could it be the batteries? Can I try to power it on while detaching the batteries?
Or do I have to buy a new one?

You have to check for the IC shorts with a multimeter m92 or p13 most likely.

when they don't respond I can assume it's dead right?

There could be a lot of issue ( usb port to IC). Are you technical enough to open up the switch and use a multimeter to check for shorts ? If not, check for a local game console repair or mobile repair ?

I checked them, they're nearly all crisp

gotta buy a new one then, repairing here is pretty expensive
