Homebrew Suggestion Switch power homebrew

Hi,
My Switch is on 4.1.0 and I use Hekate once in a while to test the awesome homebrews that are being released.
Since the sleep function is broken in Hekate, can I suggest a power homebrew app?
The app could conveniently offer to reboot or power off the Switch avoiding the need to press & hold the 'tiny' power button frequently.

I didn't say it for the sake of Hekate only. I really think a software based power option is great.

I second this. Having an option to reboot directly into RCM (which should be possible, the Linux distros reboot into RCM) or power off the console would be convenient.

is the power button really that inconvenient to press? I have massive hands and I never have issues with it only power button I have issues with is the one on the New 2DS XL

reboot to RCM is something that will take time currently its only possible on 1.0.0 though im sure more software for later firms will come out eventually that doesnt require you bricking your main OS

I'm not sure? When you shutdown from Archlinux or Ubuntu it takes you back to RCM. You still have to send a payload - but the Switch is already in RCM. That's why I think it should be possible.

linux allows this yes but not Horizon the switches OS currently only switches running 1.0.0 can reboot to RCM from Horizon

I think the power button on the Switch by its design has been made hard to reach.
And with all the great software features we already have with the system, Nintendo should have at least included it in the submenu of the right joycon (when home is long pressed).

I lost my 64 GB card during the swap process with my 128 GB (which cost me).

Didn't lose it in that sense...became corrupted actually.

If you power the switch off before taking the microSD out, it should not become corrupted

These things are not that durable as you might think.
Frequently taking it out and putting it back it might cause unexpected issues (my case I guess).

I just dont understand why someone would take the time to do something like this when you can just hit the power button faster than opening HBL launching an app and then hitting a button
