Hi there.
I decided to integarte a small WS2812 LED into my right joy-con to mirror the glitching-process to the front of my Switch OLED.
As the instructions were removed fromt the picofly-guide i was wondering if anybody else did this modification and if there are any bad experiences with it? Mine is working fine and i think it has no bad side-effect.

One side effect I remember was when the switch is in dock mode or handheld mode w/ wireless joycon, they constantly getting disconnected.
Hey there, thanks for the response.
Maybe because the signal of the LED is sent over the reset-line....I will keep an eye on it.

Oh no...I tested it and you are right. The connection is allways lost in dock-mode. I think I will desolder it.

All pins on the joycon are currently assigned but there are 3 GND pins.
Never can't have too many GND signals I guess.

You could reassign one of the GND pins for the signal to the LED.
You would need to cut the traces properly though.
Both on the main board and the joycon.

I think I will give this a try!!!

give a try on the white color pin (top rail 1st one, also the pin9 from joycon male connector)
Just in case you could add a 0.1uf cap in series with the glitching LED signal line.

THIS PIN9 is for this purpose, but I measure no output in wireless mode, I guess most time this line is off.
Code:
Joy can output power to Ring Fit Adventure or starlink toy
