Hey guys, quick question. I can't seem to get printf or any output redirected to nxlink. I'm making some modifications to SimpleModDownloader. It uploads to the netloader fine and runs, nxlink says the server is active, but I never see any output. I've also tried building the switch-examples that output to nxlink and once again, printf, trace, cout, nothing gets printed nxlink side. I'm on latest firmware, and hbmenu 3.5.1. Latest devkit on Linux.

Is there a good detailed resource for the Switch OS security and what steps it takes to keep everything completely airtight? It seems like most results I get are desperate people begging for a softmod with not very helpful answers.

Well, solved this. Turns out the issue was my VM networking setup. Now I'm having nxlink printing different information? Sometimes it prints debug info, other times not. For example:

Same exact NRO file. Exited the app and went straight back to netloader. Two different outputs. :/ I'm either getting the logging from lib/borealis/library/lib/application OR the SimpleModDownloader aplication.

Bad mistake but you can rebuild nand with emmchaccgen.

I have an OLED switch, modded (picofly)

I have my Mariko Partial keys backed up as partialaes.keys (using Lockpick). It contains all keyslots (0->15). How do I restore them?

When I did the backup, my modchip had an issue upon the reboot that is supposed to follow, so the keys were never restored.
Subsequent Mariko partial keys backup using LockPick generate a smaller partialaes.keys with fewer keys (only 7,9,11,12,13,14,15) and the backup process spits out a "Failed to validate keyslot” for all other keyslots.

I would very much like to restore these keys but cannot find any info how to do so. Any help would be very welcome. Thanks in advance.

dumb question again. I need to transfer my ACNH from my unbanned vanilla switch to my banned modded switch(no idea how it got banned i haven't done any online stuff with it). but i don't have the island transfer tool on the banned switch and don't know how to get it. Is there any way i can do this transfer?

I followed the homebrew guide on my unpatched Switch and it went smoothly. Then I installed Tinfoil and NUT to transfer games until I realized that the Tinfoil was installed on sysMMC and not emuMMC. I connected to the Wi-fi, but I did not opened E-shop.

I decided to reset the NAND and it went well. I followed the guide again but when I uppdated Hekate and Atmosphere and rebooted the switch it wont turn on.

I have tried regular and hard reset using the power button. When I place it in the dockstation, the green light blink/flash one fast time. I also tried disconnect the battery but the problem still remains.

Anyone have and idea what I can do or had similar problem?

hello friend. i need some help. today i modded 2 switch lite , both works great except 1 has the home button keep flashing as the picture , 1 can not put into sleep (it wakes up immediately after beeing put into sleep?. does anyone have the solution for these 2 cases please help me out. thank in advance , any help would be appreciated.

Why there are some games that I cant install? It appears in tinfoil at "new games", but when I try to install, it is stucked at 0% and does nothing. It's like half games will actually install and half of them wont. (all are nsp and copying with USB, SD is exfat)

It depends on the shop, also you shouldn't really be using exFAT.

I tried using TegraRCMSmash as well. Still didn't work. I would've tried one of those Android payload injectors because someone suggested that to me, but I don't have an Android. Regardless, I still tried using TegraRCMSmash again, using the link you sent, but Zadig can't even find a device called "APX," and it doesn't show up in Device Manager either.

If you don't have an Android device, I'm going to assume you have an iOS device. In that case, you can try using NXBoot. If that doesn't work, worst case scenario is you can buy an external payload launcher such as the RCM Loader to inject a payload.

I figured I should ask this here instead of making a thread but I need some help here.
I've had a modded switch (v1 through a jig) and ended up getting a second one recently, but this one was patched so I ended up hiring someone to install picofly on it in order to access atmosphere and all. The problem is that this person never specified to me what came in the folders he used and it only came with a Stock and EmuMMC layout on hekate, I tried making a SysMMC in order to access certain content on it but it turns out that this came with Incognito by default and said SysMMC doesn't have a serial code anymore, is it possible to use any nand backup from my other switch in order to have a working SysMMC, or restart the hekate setup and wipe the SD card (I don't mind following the switch hack guide from the beginning or losing my SD files since I can just backup those) in order to start over with a proper SysMMC and EmuMMC? I thought I'd ask instead of recklessly doing something that could brick this system.

NAND backups are console specific. You can try wiping the SD card and hope that the serial number is being blanked using exosphere and not Incongito because if Incognito was used on the sysMMC without a backup, then the console is functionally banned.

That just show no SD card, we won't be able to tell what to tell you to do, you can try like Sthetix HATS pack see if your unit boot into Hekate.
