I've not seen much info on my problem, so forgive if this already has a solution or should be discussed elsewhere..

I have a switch lite that is currently stuck in RCM, due to a ripped CLK pad, when i repair the connection it wont boot back into RCM (makes sense) but it also wont boot into OFW.. this is all without a modchip
when it did have a modchip installed (i removed it due to the above problem) it had a lot of unusual quirks, like it would take a few minutes for it to boot into OFW, it also stopped working at one point when i updated its sigpatches and it would shut off whenever i put it to sleep.
at one point i had done a second LCD FPC replacement, which is when i removed the modchip to make it a bit easier however when i went to power the damn thing on, it wouldn't boot into OFW and was pretty much dead.

Im kinda stumped, so im hoping this thread can give me some ideas on how to proceed or what the actual problem is with this console
(I have been working on this thing since 4 AM)

should i install the modchip again and see if i can get it to boot into hekate?

As far as I know, Switch Lite models can't boot into RCM because Nintendo fixed that security issue.
If you get a black screen, then probably there is just another issue, maybe with the screen itself.

If the modchip has a bad contact, it might take a few minutes for it to give up on training and eventually boot into OFW.

If you completely remove he modchip, it should boot into OFW.
If not, then there still is some issue/damage somewhere.

With the modchip installed, does the modchip show any error?

Well the issue is that you have a ripped pad, even though switch lite can enter rcm mode but it can't excute any payload via rcm mode.
