I think he wanted to know if he need to pay the online to use PegaSwitch, because it requires
internet.

Anyway paid online is just for games, otherwise how would you buy stuff on the eshop and use internet to pay your online subscription.

What firmware would i get when i got my switch from amazon.de?

Trust me, wherever you buy the Switch in Germany it would most likely ship with 3.0.1 firmware, especially if you go for the Neon Red/Blue or Grey version, and new shipments of Mario Odyssey will come with 3.0.1 (from my own experience). I bought the switch three times and returned it back (retoure) within 14 days and yes, I bought on amazon.de aswell and no luck (3.0.1). Sellers on ebay etc. are just ignoring any questions regarding the "serial number" and "switch firmware/software version". BUT a couple of days ago I bought an "old" Switch bundle (Splatoon 2), that was my fourth Switch and finally it shipped yesterday with firmware 2.1.0 (proshop.de).

Your best bet is the Splatoon 2 bundle, im not saying proshop.de is your only choice but I bought there (yeah, a little bit overpriced but the job done here). One of the reasons why there, it would be suspicious to return the same product twice to the same store.

BTW and just as promised, I will start a "Splatoon 2 GIVEAWAY" in a couple of days (DOWNLOAD CODE) , simply, I have no use of it (im required to update my console to the latest firmware to be able to download and play the game, BIG NO NO for me). I will inform you all prior the giveaway (in this thread and in "Splatoon 2"), I will not start it randomly.....

Was gonna go for the splatoon 2 bundle as well, but proshop is like 50 bucks above any other shop. I'm curious how and where did you return it besides amazon? I was under the impression the usual shops including amazon wouldn't accept returns anymore once you open the package.

Yeah BUT.... thankfully there is no seal on the package and no plastic film and I didnt touch it with my bare fingers, I used gloves and I paid extra attention to not damage it. You can turn it on and check the firmware, if you turn it normally (to home screen), make sure to factory reset the console. You have the right to ship it back within 14 days (pretty much any shop).
