First, I couldn't find a thread related to my "problem" yet, so I hope I can get some help here.

I've been exporting my Switch BotW save(s), editing them via https://www.marcrobledo.com/savegame-editors/zelda-botw and everything seems so far so good. However importing it back via y'allAreNuts doesn't seems to change a thing even though it says it imported successfully (no errors at all), Splatoon 2 worked fine for instance). I think it's due to those multiple saves which you get once you extract the save files and y'allAreNuts struggles with getting the correct save overwritten.

Is there any procedure to get this working?

Thanks in advance!

I am using the latest version of Checkpoint on 5.0.2 for backup up and saving, but process is the same.

After I finish editing and save the file, I end up overwriting all "game_data.save" files in each folder so that just so that I dont have to track it back to the right one. In reality for me, folder 2 is always the latest save file (from back up) so I would only need to overwrite that one, but I just like to do all of them anyway (old habit from Cemu). If you want to see which save file is the latest one when backing up, you can drop each one in the game save editor you posted, and check for the latest hours played timestamp.

you might wanna try checkpoint because it works with all firmware now. but if you really wanna use yallarenuts, well, yall are nuts, lol jkjk

the saves are in numbered folders and you gotta make sure to keep it in the numbered folder to the save you wanna overwrite. As far as I am aware, you can't cross normal and master mode saves. I use the images provided by the save dumps to figure out which save is which. in terms of path, it looks like this ..../inject/(#)/game_data.sav

you only need the game_data, since you aren't really editing the image or captions.

hope this helps

also checkpoint makes it easier by just doing the whole save, and the transfer rate for me is improved over yallarenuts

That is also a pretty good way of making sure
