So this wasn't my first venture into switch hacking. But today, after I connected my switch to my laptop it said USB device not detected (which happens occassionally). So I decided to go into auto-rcm and try to mount as a USB device to see if it would work as a workaround.

Unfortunately to my dismay, it did not work either. I did many troubleshooting online, tried changing many usb cables, even USB c to c cables too, but it still didn't work. Looking at Zadig, it showed up as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failure)".

What now? I tried uninstalling APX drivers, tried to install the libusbK but it failed installing and simply said resources already exist. Any help would be great!

I'm on Windows 10 (on pc) and Windows 11 (on laptop), both didn't work. Android (Rekado) didn't work too.

You have to go into Under Settings > Apps > Apps & features, look for "Windows Driver Package - libusbK Nintendo Switch APX Mode ([date] [version])" and uninstall it then restart, then you can probably reinstall the driver.

when i tried searching for it, there's no such app/driver. So whenever, I am on TegraGUI, going into settings tab, I can click on install driver which says "missing APX Driver".

So i clicked on install but it was done instantly (like clicking Next button and it says install successful, didn't even take one second to install which is weird or that it was already installed, but why would it say APX Driver missing then?)

So the 'Install Driver' is still shown clickable but clicking it does nothing until I restart my computer and launching Tegra again, clicking on 'Install Driver' and it will say 'Missing drivers' again.

idk what's going on
